It is situated on a quiet bay facing east towards the sheltering islands that border the bay. Port Carling offers a boat lock to Lake Muskoka, a nearby park, a museum, dining, theatre and intricate shops. It is also located in the heart of various resorts, golf courses and quaint communities which are typical of Muskoka, including nearby Santa's Village in Bracebridge and the Cranberry Festival in Bala. Winter Fests are great times for snow enthusiasts; The Opera House of Gravenhurst prides itself with superb entertainment as does the dinner theatre in Port Carling. Honey Harbour on Georgian Bay is just 40 minutes away by car and the Moon River majestically runs from the nearby Bala Falls into the river.
Cedar Rail , on which the Muskoka Birch is located, is a friendly community in which the members are owner. Some of them rent with regulations established by the community to safeguard its neighbourly setting like privacy and quiet hours. The 9+ acre land space is wide and spacious, making it very child and senior friendly. It as a 200 foot + beach waterfront with the privately owned boat house and the Cedar Rail community docks.
The property is maintained by the members and enables users to have a sense of freedom rather than confinement. Privacy is ensured about each domicile with private driveway parking and natural property lines. Each "cottage" is well off the waterfront; this is advantageous for young families for safety reasons and to ensure that each site has a direct and wide view of the lake. It also allows for the inclusion of "play space", the tennis court, the outdoor gazebo, the firepit and horseshoe pits.
$250 Cleaning Fee/stay of 1-2 weeks. Cleaning Service/week optional and if available at renter cost. $500 fully refundable damage deposit subject to the condition after the rental period.
Rules/Guidelines to be sent by owner to renter. Adults responsible for children.
The Guidelines are basically common sense and courtesy. We are trusting our family cottage to our mature and employed guests when we do not use it. The guidelines are also applicable to other units on the Cedar Rail Property. Please watch children closely.
No Aquatic Toys or Boats provided due to liability which would increase costs and Use BBQ at own risk.

Check in Saturday, 2 pm and check out Friday, 6 pm unless otherwise mutually agreed to. Ensure you have all possessions and put out the garbage as per guildelines.
Guideline and Agreement Provided by the Owner and Accepted
The Guidelines/Rules are provided in advance from the owner. The Agreement with $500 deposit and payment schedule which includes the $250 cleaning fee is agreed to and signed. Once final payment is made, the door lock box security code is provided to access the 4-season cottage.
