Expertise

Growing up by the beach in New Zealand, I’ve always loved the ocean and the outdoors.

My earliest memories are of my family travelling around the North Island of New Zealand, hitting all the different beaches, lakes, mountains, and national parks.

Growing up with a mum in aviation, our family holidays weren’t limited to New Zealand. We often took overseas trips to Fiji, Australia and the United States. Being able to travel so cheaply allowed me to explore more of the world, seeing major cities and islands around the globe.

When I was offered the chance to move abroad during my university studies, I couldn’t say no. I spent six months exploring the best parts of Europe, visiting new cities, mountains and lakes along the way.

I hope to continue my travels around the world, taking me to some of the most beautiful corners of the earth. Next up on my list are Mexico, Turks & Caicos, and Japan.

Education

I always knew I wanted to have a job where I was able to utilise my two passions: writing and travel.

From 2016-2018 I studied a Bachelor of Communications majoring in Journalism at the Auckland University of Technology. It was the summer and winter of 2017/2018 when I studied abroad in Groningen, the Netherlands, at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences.

Since graduating, I have moved across to Australia, where I’ve utilised my skills to become a freelance travel writer and blogger, which takes me all over Australia.
